Did you know that you can not keep a prescription issued by the doctor indefinitely? Certainly! But how long is it valid?
By law, a recipe is a certificate of limited validity. Of course, there is also a regulation. And that prescribes that a prescription only applies for a maximum of six months.
However, "normal" prescriptions can only be used by private patients for six months. The statutory health insurance companies, however, reimburse the costs incurred only within one month after the issue of a prescription.
Even stricter are the regulations for narcotics. Narcotics are issued by the doctor on a special form and are only valid for 7 days.
